Silver FIX for windows 7 and outhers

Heloo there, to make silver work u have to install it with the first cd, then apply geForce 2 patch, after that apply the horizontal patch (from 640 make it 1), after that for XP users should work. For windows 7 users, u have to click right on desktop/personalize/classical view and also open screen resolution and leave it like that when u run the game.

If u have problems with the bell in rain - copy from CD 2/silver/levels/rain into your installed directoy (making a new folder levels) ex: silver/levels/rain/... and so on.

Its much easier this way with a Patched Silver:
Start Silver> open taskmanger> end the "explorer.exe" under processes (desktop should be gone)> then rigthklick on Silver in the taskmanager and chose "go to">have fun. that should fix the graphic bug.
If u want your desktop back after playing just open the taskmanager again> data> new task> and write in "explorer.exe". you can also restart your computer to get it back, but thats too much work for just playing Silver. Taskmanager is the better option.

Hi there. I recently reaquired this game and am having trouble getting it to work. If you could be more specific about the fix (where to get what patches and such) i would be very thankful. All the links i've found for any patches are obsolete.

Here is the Pack (including: noCD,Silver Patcher, Silver UK GeForce2Patch_v2, some ingame fixes when people get stuck at specific places/events)

How i patched Silver:

First i used the Silver_VistaNoCD from the Pack and replaced the silver.exe in the folder where i installed Silver. (dont be scared "Spiral House", the NoCD file isnt working (at least for me). ok then actually it makes no sense, but i tell it because thats the exactly way i got a workung Silver-Game.)
Then i also copied the SilverPatcher in the install folder and started it. There u just have to let it know the path of your silver.exe in your install folder. I didnt change the "Spare buffer pitch", so it was 640. Then "Apply Patch".
Finished.
I didnt use something from the other three files from the Silver Fix Pack.
Then just go on like i discribed in my post before:

but notice: im from germany and i have the german silver version. dont know if that matter but therefore i cant promise if its working with an uk version. wayne.... lets try

and ingame, i didnt reached yet one of the "stuck places". (like the bell) so i dont know if there will be some problems. i just finished the libary =) funny at all. grandpa died =(
EDIT: ok i reached the bell and... no problems! well it took 5 minutes to have the right click-timing but it worked without additional fixes!

Hello! Can please someone help me!

I have the original game and all that! I have windows 7! I have tried everything possible but nothing!

First it wouldnt even install the game i mean it would launch but it wouldnt install (with no error messages at all), then I managed to install it (dont ask me how but i did lol) but now I cant get it to play, I have tried the compability thing in properties, I even downloaded utorrent and powerISO (i dont have a clue if it has got anything to do with is but it was what I have been told), I have looked everywhere possible, I also have been told I need a patch or something?! But where do I get that from??? I mean I've tried the steps above but I just get lost halfway its way too confusing for me lol! I DONT GET ANY OF IT! For me it needs to be explained really step by step really and with no confusing names because I then get lost and cant find it and whatever! Im desperate to play this game once again but it seems to me it wont be in these early stages lol!

I dont know how to make that Tutorial easier, thats step by step. And what confusiong names? You mean the names from the Patch datas?
Please read all if you ask for a patch!!! Cause i posted the link in my post above yours. Just look at the names from the data in the Patch Folder after you downloaded it and it will match with my tutorial. Nothing difficult to understand in my opinion.
